Source: Russian Railways files bid for Greek railway operator
ATHENS, Apr 15 (PRIME) -- Railroad giant Russian Railways has filed a bid at an auction for privatization of Greek railway operator TrainOSE, an industry source in Athens told PRIME on Friday.
“Russian Railways has just filed a bid. The company is going to the auction alone,” he said.
Greek company GEK TERNA, which was earlier in consortium with Russian Railways, has filed a separate bid at the auction. Italian railway operator Trenitalia has also filed a bid, the source said.
China’s Cosco has not yet submitted its bid, but there is yet time left, he also said.
